THESSALONIKI | Hiking on Olympus, Prionia, Refuge of Agapitos Spilios

Our hike on the mythical mount of Olympus begins at the site of Prionia from the waterfalls and pools of Enipea.  We climb through a green landscape, following the international path e4, a well-maintained path with steady and mild slopes.

We will admire the biodiversity of our National Forest.  The forest consists of mainly beeches, pines, and firs.  We will surely be impressed by the fairy-tale Rombola and by the diversity of the low vegetation and flowers.

After two and a half to three hours of hiking and having covered approximately 5.6 km, we reach the refuge of the Agapitos Cave.  At the refuge we will be able to drink a cup of coffee or tea and from its balcony we will enjoy the view of the mountain tops of Olympus and the infinite blue of the Aegean Sea.
